By the end of January 2020, Uzbekistan has risen another 4 positions in the world ranking for fixed Internet

The Irish company Ookla published the service data Speedtest.net according to the monthly Speedtest Global Index rating, which contains data on the speed of mobile and wired Internet in the world by the end of January 2020. Uzbekistan showed a good growth in fixed Internet speed, adding another 4 positions up.

Our country in the overall rating rose by 15 positions in 2019 out of 176 countries. This is the most confident growth in a year!

According to the results of January 2020, our country is ahead of such countries as Georgia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in terms of fixed Internet speed.

Over the past year, the speed of fixed Internet in Uzbekistan has increased almost 2.4 times from 10.89 Mbit/s in January 2019 to 25.75 Mbit / s (Download) in January 2020.

In terms of mobile Internet speed, Uzbekistan also slightly improved its position compared to December 2019, rising by two positions (plus 5 positions for the year).

Speedtest calculates the speed and generates a rating based on its own data received from users who use the service to check their connection speed.
