May 9-Day of Memory and Honour!
On may 9, Uzbekistan celebrates the day of Remembrance and Honors and the 75th anniversary of the Victory over fascism!
For all of us, this is not only the anniversary of the great Victory, but also a day of bright sadness, reverent respect, pride and deep gratitude to our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers who gave us a peaceful sky above our heads.
Uzbekistan made a great contribution to the victory over fascism. During the Second World war, Uzbekistan lost more than 450 thousand of its sons and daughters. We remember and honor the memory of our heroes!
Thousands of Uzbek citizens worked in the rear, the Republic took in refugees, evacuated enterprises, and provided the front. On may 9
, according to tradition, residents of the country, as well as millions of people around the world, congratulate veterans. We are the last generation that can talk to veterans and express our gratitude to them.
