Position responsibilities:
- Executes the Program and Current Repair Plans of the connection in the attached area.
- Ensures the timely submission to the 1st category engineer of the list of spare parts, materials and equipment necessary for the implementation of operational activities in his territory.
- Performs maintenance and network development work on overhead communication lines, including in areas close to power transmission lines and with dangerous intersections, in a high-quality and timely manner.
- Pulls, re-pulls, brings subscriber wires into order and to the technical requirements, and dismantles and assembles overhead communication lines, as well as replaces and arranges crossovers in distribution cabinets.
- Carries out appropriate preventive and repair work in the attached areas (sections) to ensure the constant working condition of communication line structures.
- Constantly monitors the condition of newly constructed, reconstructed and operational communication line structures and reports any identified deficiencies and problems to the 1st category engineer.
- Identifies damaged areas and their nature (type) on communication lines and eliminates malfunctions within the established time limits.
- Eliminates existing dangerous intersections of overhead communication lines with power lines in the established manner and takes measures to prevent the occurrence of new dangerous intersections during operation.
- When detecting telephones, faxes and other devices illegally (parallel) connected to the client's existing telephone line, draws up an act with the client and submits it to the 1st category engineer.
- Regularly (at least once an hour) enters the “GeoWFM” mobile application and sends location information via geolocation to the Cross employee, accepts orders and enters relevant information on the work performed in this mobile application.
- If it is not possible to use the program, he contacts the cross-section employees as soon as possible and as much as possible through available means of communication or interactively, notifies them of the results of the identified malfunctions, and also receives and enters into the list of tasks instructions for their elimination when malfunctions are detected in the service area.
- Every day, he fills out the relevant documents (invoices, acts, etc.) in the established manner and submits them to the 1st category engineer.
- Analyzes the received orders and applications, determines the causes of the problems and takes measures to eliminate them within the scope of the assigned authority.
- Informs the 1st category engineer about the work that needs to be carried out in the event that it is not possible to eliminate the malfunction within the scope of the assigned tasks (in the event of the need for additional cable products, allocation of labor, or other reasons).
- Before starting work, he checks the completeness and serviceability of equipment, devices and devices, and examines their compliance with technical safety requirements.
- In cases where it is determined that construction or excavation work is being carried out in the service area, he notifies the 1st category engineer via communication means.
- When connecting customers to broadband services for the first time, it pulls cables and subscriber lines from end devices (FTTB, GPON technologies, etc.) to the customer's devices (modem, computer, IPTV tuner, etc.) and performs software configuration work.
- Provides technical assistance to customers in case of unsatisfactory operation of broadband services:
- Provides advice to customers by telephone;
- Identifies malfunctions in subscriber devices and adjusts them, restoring them to working condition (in cases where it is not possible to restore the device, draws up an act with the customer and transfers it to a 1st category engineer);
- Performs full diagnostics and adjustment of end devices and the last line (additional devices);
- Identifies and resolves problems related to the use of services.
- Procedure for servicing splitters/switches:
- Performs preventive maintenance of devices (cleaning, tidying up and preventive maintenance of optical, UTP cables and patchcords);
- performs technical operation (on-demand connection/disconnection of customers, broadband connection services, direct wiring, laying subscriber wires in accordance with technical standards, in a timely manner based on orders);
- identifies and eliminates malfunctions in broadband connection equipment when customers receive orders regarding unsatisfactory performance of telecommunication services;
- after troubleshooting (changing numbers, technical data, etc.), informs the cross-section staff about all changes made;
- Maintains splitters/switches and termination devices in a technically sound and clean condition.
- Installs distribution cabinets, boxes and other terminal cable devices.
- Performs grounding of line cable structures.
- Performs all types of couplings and branched joints, as well as welding and soldering of cable ends.
- Checks communication wells and shafts for gassing using a gas analyzer.
Required skills and qualifications:

- schemes for connecting various types of telephone sets and other terminal devices, including broadband service devices, to the subscriber line;
- operation, installation and adjustment of broadband connection terminal equipment;
- quality indicators for assessing the electrician's activities;
- the service area;
- control periods for eliminating line and cable faults, broadband service faults;
- rules for protecting communication lines and structures;
- when working on overhead lines: the structure and rules for using overhead lines; the nature of faults in overhead lines; the rules for connecting wires; the procedure for calculating pairs in overhead lines;
- methods for measuring direct current communication lines;
- the procedure for maintaining technical documentation;
- the structure of complex passages of overhead lines through railways, highways and power lines;
- the main electrical parameters of the serviced overhead lines;
- the basic rules for passporting lines;
- the rules for performing work in areas close to power lines;
- Internet connection technologies (GPON, FTTB, xDSL);
- Wi-Fi signals and frequencies;
- signal transmission and attenuation coefficients in optical cables;
- use of optical welding equipment, power meter, reflectometer;
- rules and standards of labor protection, safety, industrial sanitation and fire safety.
- Basics of using information technologies (qualified user in the GEOWFM application).

Working conditions:
- Formal employment based on an employment contract.
- Working week: 6 days (Monday–Saturday), day off – Sunday.
- Working hours: Monday–Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, Saturday from 09:00 to 15:00 (with a lunch break).
