Job responsibilities:
- Assist in developing financial models for business valuation, project assessment, and strategic planning
- Support the creation of cash flow models for project finance initiatives
- Assist in building and maintaining integrated three-statement models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Prepare sensitivity analyses and scenario calculations
- Assist in calculating telecommunications industry metrics and KPIs
- Support the preparation of models for international financing applications
- Assist in preparing financial forecasts and projections
- Collect, structure, and verify input data for models
- Assist in valuation analysis for potential investments
- Analyze operational metrics and their financial impact
- Support modeling of capital structure and financing alternatives
- Assist in updating rolling forecasts with multiple scenarios
- Assist in preparing models for capital investment decisions
- Prepare presentation materials showing model outputs
- Provide modeling support for strategic initiatives
- Assist in due diligence processes
- Prepare supporting materials for credit rating agency presentations
- Maintain model documentation and user guides
- Check model accuracy and consistency of calculations
- Follow established model control and validation procedures
- Keep models updated with latest business assumptions.
Required skills and qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field
- Final-year students are also considered
- Master's degree preferred
- Professional certification (CFA, FRM, or equivalent), including in progress, is a plus
- Financial modeling courses or certificates are an advantage
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- No prior work experience required
- Internship, practical training, or student projects in finance, audit, banking, or consulting are an advantage
- Participation in case championships or financial modeling competitions is an advantage
- Confident Excel skills including:
- Functions and formulas
- Pivot tables
- Charts and data presentation
- Data validation and checking of calculations
- Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Power Query, and Power Pivot are an advantage
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage
- Basic understanding of database management is an advantage
- Understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals
- Basic knowledge of IFRS and national accounting standards
- Understanding of basic corporate finance concepts
- Familiarity with project finance principles is an advantage
- Familiarity with telecommunications industry metrics is an advantage
- Familiarity with risk analysis methodologies is an advantage
- Fluent in Uzbek and Russian
- English at intermediate level (B1 and above), sufficient for working with professional documentation
