Position responsibilities:

- Executes the program and current repair plans of the connection in the assigned area.

- Performs maintenance and network development work on overhead communication lines, including in areas close to power transmission lines and with dangerous intersections, in a high-quality and timely manner.

- Pulls, re-pulls, brings the subscriber wires into order and to the technical requirements, and dismantles and assembles overhead communication lines, as well as replaces and brings into order crossovers in distribution cabinets.

- Carries out appropriate preventive and repair work in the assigned areas (sites) to ensure that communication line structures are in constant working condition.

- Constantly monitors the condition of newly constructed, reconstructed and operational communication line structures and reports to the 1st category engineer about identified deficiencies and problems.

- Determines the location of damaged areas and their nature (type) on communication lines and eliminates malfunctions within the specified time limits.

- Eliminates existing dangerous intersections of overhead lines and power lines in the established manner and takes measures to prevent the occurrence of new dangerous intersections during operation.

- Regularly (at least once an hour) enters the “GeoWFM” mobile application and sends location information via geolocation to the Cross employee, accepts orders and enters relevant information on the work performed in this mobile application.

- Every day, completely and correctly fills out relevant documents (bills, acts, etc.) in the established manner and hands them over to the 1st category engineer.

- Analyzes incoming orders and applications, identifies the causes of problems and takes measures to eliminate them within the scope of the assigned authority.

- Before starting work, checks the completeness and serviceability of equipment, devices and devices, inspects their compliance with technical safety requirements.

- In cases where construction or excavation work is being carried out in the service area, informs the 1st category engineer via communication means.

- When connecting customers to broadband services for the first time, he pulls the cable and subscriber cable from the terminal devices (FTTB, GPON technologies, etc.) to the customer's devices (modem, computer, IPTV tuner, etc.) and performs software configuration work.

- Identifies malfunctions in subscriber devices and configures them, restoring them to working condition (in cases where it is not possible to restore the device, draws up an act with the customer and transfers it to the 1st category engineer);

- Performs work on servicing splitters/switches;

- Installs distribution cabinets, boxes and other terminal cable devices.

- Performs work on equipping line cable structures with grounding.

- Performs all types of couplings and branched joints, as well as welding and brazing of cable ends.

- Checks communication wells and shafts for gasification using a gas analyzer.

 

Required skills and qualifications:

- Secondary vocational education.

- Quality policy and goals of the Company;

- Principles of the structure of telephone and optical networks;

- Structures of the line structures used (cable boxes, poles, entrance poles, distribution boxes) and the rules for laying and connecting subscriber lines from them;

- Basics of electrical engineering;

- Schemes for connecting various types of telephone sets and other terminal devices, including broadband service devices, to the subscriber line;

- Usage, installation and adjustment of broadband connection terminal equipment;

- Control periods for eliminating line and cable faults, broadband service faults;

- Rules for protecting communication lines and structures;

- Internet connection technologies (GPON, FTTB, xDSL);

- Wi-Fi signals and frequencies;

- Signal transmission and attenuation coefficients in optical cables;

- Use of optical welding equipment, power meter, reflectometer;

- Rules and standards of labor protection, safety equipment, industrial sanitation and fire safety and compliance with them.

- Basics of using information technologies (qualified user in the GEOWFM application).

- Compliance with internal labor discipline;

- Communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

 

Working conditions:

- Formal employment based on an employment contract.

- Working week: 6 days (Monday–Saturday), day off – Sunday.
