Job responsibilities

- Performs preventive maintenance of cable structures, OTJ, splitters.

- Lays and installs city telephone cables of various sizes and complexity manually and mechanized. Installs distribution boxes and cable termination devices in distribution racks.

- Eliminates all types of cable faults without interrupting communication;

- Provides operational and technical maintenance of all city cable structures, including fiber optic cables;

- Determines areas of non-hermetic cable sheaths;

- Performs work to restore communication in case of accidents and cable theft;

- Knows how to repair small mechanization tools and equipment used in the operation of facilities;

- Participates in the acceptance of cable structures into operation;

- Performs measurement work on cables;

- Solders and welds all types of couplings and sleeves, as well as leaded cable ends;

- Installs and maintains various types of fiber optic cables, optical couplings, optical patch panels (ODF), splitters;

- Regularly (at least once an hour) enters the “GeoWFM” mobile application, sends location information via geolocation to the cross-site employee, accepts orders and enters relevant information on the work performed into this mobile application.

 

 

Required skills and qualifications

- A specialist with secondary vocational education;

- The principles of the structure of the regional telephone network;

- Knowledge of regulatory documents, instructions and guidance materials on work procedures;

- Rules for installation and maintenance of fiber optic cables;

 

 

Working conditions:

- Six-day working week;
