Job responsibilities:
- Developing measures to take advantage of tax incentives provided for under the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- Receiving and analysing financial reports from the Company's structural divisions.
- Overseeing the accurate maintenance of tax records in the 1C:Enterprise software.
- Implementing relevant changes and updates to the Tax Code and applicable legislation into the Company's operations.
- Monitoring the timely and high-quality execution of tasks and submission of data related to tax calculation by all branches within the Company.
- Advising employees, including accountants and chief accountants of the Company's structural divisions, on matters relating to the calculation of tax and financial reporting.
- Participating in activities related to the preparation of the Company's financial statements in accordance with international financial reporting standards.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Higher education degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
- Tax legislation: thorough knowledge of local tax legislation (Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan), including corporate income tax, VAT, personal income tax, transfer pricing, and related processes.
- Ability to analyse permanent and temporary differences between financial and tax accounting and reflect them accurately in the records.
- Managing tax audits conducted by tax authorities, responding to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner, and participating in the development of strategies for resolving tax disputes.
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Knowledge of Uzbek, English, and Russian.
- Understanding of international financial reporting standards (IFRS/IAS).
- Knowledge of national accounting standards (NAS).
