Job responsibilities:

-      Ensuring the high-quality and reliable operation of telegraph equipment, channels and circuits, and carrying out all types of scheduled preventive maintenance work on assigned equipment.

-      Ensuring the timely execution of cross-connection work for connecting and disconnecting telegraph systems, channels, circuits and direct connection wires in accordance with service orders.

-      Conducting on-site adjustments of equipment, channels and circuits, measuring their parameters and carrying out technical inspections. Performing installation and deinstallation of leased telegraph equipment.

-      Ensuring timely compliance with circuit restoration requirements, and the provision of backup and bypass routes in the event of prolonged outages of channels and circuits.

-      Participating in line testing and trial operation of devices and equipment, in the application of newly tested technologies, in the development of instructions for new apparatus, and in equipment modernisation.

-      Preparing electromechanical and electronic telegraph apparatus and terminal equipment for operation, and carrying out adjustments to their components, blocks, individual devices and parts.

-      Promptly reporting to the section head in the event of accidents, prolonged outages of physical circuits, equipment and communication routes, non-compliance with technical operation rules by section personnel, faults in assigned equipment, or gross violations of occupational safety, fire safety, internal labour regulations and production discipline.

-      Promptly eliminating violations of occupational safety, labour protection and fire safety rules, as well as accidents and prolonged equipment outages within the section.

-      Improving professional qualifications, completing occupational safety briefings, completing training on the use of general and individual protective equipment, acquiring the rules and practical skills of first aid in the event of an accident, undergoing relevant civil defence training, participating in civil defence activities, and studying civil defence signals.

 

Required skills and qualifications:

-      A specialist with secondary vocational education is appointed, with no work experience requirements.

-      The procedures for organising technical maintenance of equipment within the unit, the specific methods of performing repair and adjustment work, and fault detection and correction on assigned equipment;

-      Technical norms, rules, instructions, and methods of technical operation of serviced equipment, channels and transmission paths; basic rules and instructions for accounting and certification of equipment, channels and transmission paths;

-      Methods of measuring parameters and adjusting assigned equipment;

-      The operating characteristics of testing, verification and measuring instruments;

-      Procedures for maintaining and formalising production documentation.

-      Knowledge of Russian is desirable.

 

Working conditions:

-      Official employment under a formal labour contract.

-      Working week: 5 days (Monday–Friday), days off — Saturday and Sunday.

-      Working hours: 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday, with a lunch break.

-      Annual leave and other social guarantees in accordance with the Labour Code.

-      Business trips or on-site inspections may be required as part of work activities.
